Our long-time customer, Karel Rendl, a fourth-generation baker from a family bakery in Su\u0161ice, baked for the Czech Olympic team and we were there. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\"><strong>Rendl Bakery: Traditional craftsmanship from generation to generation<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\">Karel Rendl, known as &#8220;Karel the Fourth&#8221;, continues a family tradition of baking that dates back to 1925. The bakery was founded by his great-grandfather, but was confiscated from the family during the communist regime. After the revolution, however, the bakery returned to the family, and Karel&#8217;s father taught him everything he needed to know in the five years before handing the business over to him. Today, Karel Rendl successfully runs a bakery that maintains a reputation for quality and tradition and is a sought-after bakery in the Klatovy region.   <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\"><strong>Bakery in a container at the Olympic Games<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\">Karl&#8217;s first Olympic experience came in 2018 when he baked bread for the athletes at the Pyeongchang Olympics. His baking skills were a great success among the athletes, leading to another invitation to this year&#8217;s Olympic Games in Paris. The preparations were challenging, but Rendl&#8217;s team pulled it off. This year they plan to use 1000-1100 kg of flour, including rye, wheat and classic wheat flour, along with other ingredients and mixes.   <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\"><strong>Support from Lesaffre Czech Republic<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\">Since Karel Rendl and his bakery are our long-time customers, it was a matter of course for us to offer support during their Olympic adventure. We provided them with a supply of ingredients and our products for the entire duration of the Games. The athletes can sample baked goods from our Yeast, Zavarka, Tiger Decor, Magimix Kaiser and Potato Mix. All the ingredients they use are of Czech origin and have been imported directly from the Czech Republic. In addition to the raw materials, we provided the entire team with t-shirts with the Lesaffre logo and the logo of the Su\u0161ice bakery so that they could represent not only Czech baking, but also a traditional producer of baking mixes, yeast and yeast.    <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\"><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontSizeMediumPlus\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"CS-CZ\">This unique situation, where the team has its own baker, has not escaped the attention of the Czech and local media.
