Are you ready for a sustainable future?
Bake with the Lesaffre commitment – join us on the journey to sustainable packaging
We are pleased to introduce new sustainable bags of our blends, dried yeasts and preparations. At Lesaffre, we believe that contributing to better nutrition and protection of the planet is not only our vision, but also a responsibility that must be reflected in our activities, markets and all other Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
By the end of 2025, we are committed to phasing out polluting and non-recyclable packaging. We plan to achieve this in incremental steps for each type of packaging. We will first focus on paper and polyethylene bags, then cans and buckets, pillow bags, vacuum bags and finally cartons.
We want Lesaffre to play a key role in the ecological transformation and future of its product packaging. We now offer our customers the opportunity to strengthen their CSR strategy and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Our goals:
✅ Achieve 95% recyclability or easy separation of materials for all our packaging
✅ Reduce the proportion of non-recyclable materials
✅ Optimise and reduce packaging printing
✅ Meet future country-specific legislative requirements in advance
Be there with us!
We would like to invite you, our customers, to join us on this important journey. By adopting recyclable packaging, together we can make a positive impact on the environment while continuing to support your bakery operations in a sustainable way. We look forward to working with you and to a more sustainable future together.
To make the transition as smooth as possible, you should expect the first half of 2025 to be a transition period. During this time, you can receive either your existing bags or new recyclable options, as Baking with Lesaffre is committed to using up existing stocks of packaging first. Rest assured that the quality of our products and their composition remain unchanged.
During this period, our sales team will be on hand to provide you with all the information and support you need to make the transition as successful as possible.
